3 Signs Your Car’s Alignment Is Off

A car is a finely tuned machine made to work in synchronicity. But what happens when something is off? Though some problems with a care are hard to detect, misalignment is something a car owner can easily diagnose if these three simple signs are apparent.

The Tread

Treads on tires usually wear evenly if they have proper traction on the road. When car is out of alignment, the treads on a tire are a possible sign. To make sure that the tread is not wearing unevenly for another reason, car owners should make sure the tires have proper air pressure.

The Pull

A car should be able to drift in a straight line even when a driver doesn’t have a tight grip on the wheel. If a car pulls to either side on a loose grip, or a driver overcompensates on the wheel to keep the vehicle straight, this is a sign that the alignment needs to be adjusted.

The Shake

The most glaring sign that the alignment in a vehicle is off is a violent shaking of the wheel when accelerating. Misalignment causes the wheels to hit the pavement unevenly and places stress on the car’s wheel bearings.

Even if wheels are misaligned by a fraction of an inch, a car can exhibit these signs. For front end alignment in Pacific Beach, visit the site.
